The main overhead traveling crane is used to bring the concrete from the batching plant to the casting machine by means of skips. In this case, the speed of the crane must be related to the length of the travel and the quantity of the concrete needed. Hence, the batching plant should be located at the center of one side of the production bay. The skip opens automatically as soon as it is lowered unto the intake hopper of the slip former or the extruder.

The slipformer is served by the main overhead traveling crane using the weiler concrete feed skip
