Concrete Transfer

Raw materials Production

The proper combination of machinery and plant systems relative to the scheduled capacity and the kind of finished product has to be taken into account for the lay-out of a complete production facility. When planning for a tight production schedule, overlaps of machinery and ancillary systems must be eliminated. Capacity, concrete requirements, lengths of transport travels, labor cost, and overall investment must be taken into account when planning the transfer system for the concrete.

  1. The main overhead traveling crane is used to bring the concrete from the batching plant to the casting machine by means of skips.

  2. The concrete is supplied to the machine by means of the weiler transporter which travels on the same rails as the production machine.

  3. The concrete is transferred by way of a monorail system with skip(s) from the batching plant to the production bay.
